What to include when you send an e-mail to FAST customer support

When you send an e-mail with a bug or FAST application issue, please include as much information as possible. Use the headings below as a guide to help you gather the information (examples are in italics).

INSTITUTION NAME

What instance did the bug happen on?
Development, production, or…

FAST APPLICATION

Finance, Human Resources, Budgets, Web Requisitioning, etc.

BROWSER

What is the name and version of your web browser (click Help > About),
For example, Internet Explorer Version 9 or Firefox 2, etc.

LANGUAGE

What is the language preference used when the bug was found?

PAGE NAME

Take a screen shot. Make sure the screen is active, press ALT+PrtScn, and paste it (Ctrl+V) into your document.
OR

Copy and paste the URL from the address bar in your browser. In the example below, Employee Summary is the page name.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ISSUE

If you are working within an application and get an error message, provide a full-screen screen shot. Make sure the screen is active, press ALT+PrtScn, and paste it (Ctrl+V) into your document. Please do not include a screen shot of simply an error message; try to include the full screen, including the browser and full url. This will assist in trouble-shooting and/or recreating the issue being described.
