Live Student Reporting

Live reporting is available in FAST Student Reporting on selected reporting pages. This is a role-based function and can be accessed with the user(s) are assigned the correct roles by a Student Administrator.

To use or enable this function, the role called Student - Live Reporting has been added to the Define Roles page. To assign this role to a specific end user, please review the Overview of User/Role Assignment functionality.

Administrators can:

1. Assign the Student - Live Reporting Role to one or more users via the User/Role Assignment Page

2. One the role is assigned, when those designated end users access one of the selected reporting pages with Live Reporting enabled (see list below), the user(s) will now see an additional Filter Control of Report Source on the page:

Selecting Warehouse Tables will run the report as usual against the FAST Student data warehouse; this is the default setting. Selecting Live ERP System will run the report against real-time data in your ERP. This can be a valuable option for key end users and power users who need access to that data in real-time.

Available Reports:

The Live Reporting functionality is currently available (by role) on the following reports and any associated drill-downs to and from those pages:

• Admissions

• List of Students

• All Registration Records

Note to Student Reporting End Users

This function is set-up and allocated based on your given roles in FAST Student Reporting. If you do not see the filter control of Report Source, it means that you have not been granted this role. If you feel that this would be a helpful addition to your current function, contact your campus FAST Administrator to request that it be added to your User ID. This role is institution-specific and may not be used at each institution.
