What's New in Version 4.6

Version 4.6.06

A new visual indicator has been added to indicate whether a chat exists/existed for a document in the Grade Approval reporting area.

A new Course Section Fee Rules report exists under the Course Info menu. This report shows all fee assessment rules set up at the course section level.

The Course Schedule Code and Description have been added to the Courses Not Graded Report, which is located in the Course Info menu option.

The CRN filter on Course Summary and Course Enrollment reports has been changed to multi-select search boxes. This allows for multiple CRN selections as well as use with dynamic selections.

The Course Summary and Enrollment Summary reports now allow users to add several "Linked To" columns in the Advanced Options area. This will show which other courses/CRNs courses in are linked to outside of the report currently in view.

A new filter and columns called "Division" have been added to the Course Summary and Enrollment Summary reports. These need to be selected in the Advanced Options

A new campus filter is available on the Student Account Balance report. Additionally, Campus and Campus Description columns have been added to the report but needs to be selected in the Advanced Options area.

Version 4.6.05

It is  now possible to share communication events! Users who have the "Create/Update Shared Communication Templates" role, or have admin level access, are able to use this new feature.

It is  now possible to schedule communication events! Custom PDFs, Emails, and SMS Text Messages can now all be sent at a preferred date and time.

In relation to the new communication scheduler, there are now new reports in each application under Administration --> Communication--> Communication Events Summary & Communication Event Detail. These reports show information about upcoming and historic scheduled communication events.

The Schedule section on each application homepage has been updated to have three tabs: Personal Pinned Reports, Communication Centre, and Global Events. These allow for more refined organization of scheduled events.

The SMS communication dialog in the top-right corner of the page now accepts Student ID or Employee ID as search criteria. Previously this would only return results when searching for a name.

A pop-out button has been added to the title bar (to the left of the X "close" button) of inline pop-up grids. This will open the pop-up window in a new browser tab.

A new "Save As" option has been added to the File Share report scheduler so that specific individuals can be selected to receive the file share at the scheduled times.

When accessing Online Documentation on the Help Menu, it will now open in a new browser tab instead of a separate, pop-up window.

The SMS feature has been updated with a pop-out button to allow for text messaging to open in a new window.

Telerik, the third-party library that FAST uses for some web controls on several screens has been upgraded from version 2011.3.1305.40 to version 2020.2.617.45.

updated The Admissions Check list report has two new column options: Majors and Major Descriptions. These are hidden by default, but can be added via the Administration tab.

updated The Workload Details report has several new columns: Total Course Tuition, Instructor Generated Tuition, Total Course Fees, Instructor Generated Fees, Total Other Fees, and Instructor Generated Other Fees.

updated The Course Summary and Enrollment Summary reports have three new columns: Instructor ID, Session, and Section Grade Mode. All three columns are deselected by default and can be added via the Administration tab of each report.

There is a new reporting page called "Cancelled Course Class List" that allows users to view and drill down into registration records for any course that was open for registration and was subsequently cancelled.

updated The Admissions Report now includes columns indicating expected student revenue including tuition, fees, and charges.

updated The Course Summary and Enrollment Summary reports now allow for previous like term revenue comparison with options for additional comparison columns via Advanced Options.

A new Prospect contact page has been created that will indicate all points of contact with prospective students. This page also indicates if there are recruit, application, and registration information for the prospect.

Version 4.6.04

It is now possible to change grades that have already been submitted through the Grade Change Request Process.

There is now a Recruit reporting page available under the Admissions menu option. This report allows for accurate tracking of prospective students.

A new optional column called Include in GPA has been added to the Academic History report so that users can determine whether a repeated course is being included or excluded in GPA calculations.

The ability to archive/snap active student hold information has been added to the FAST Student Archive functionality.

updated Term filters and columns for Nation Description and Diploma Name have been added to the Degree Application report.

updated Room Type code and description have been added to the Course Summary report page.

updated The Admissions Report has several new updates. First, the primary phone number for an applicant has been added to the Admissions page for easily accessing prospective student contact information. Additionally, a new column has been added which will indicate if the high school listed on the report is the last high school attended by the student.

It is now possible to import from Excel on the Client Warehouse Builder-Table Definitions screen. This will help streamline the bulk migration of objects between environments.

All FAST applications now have date stamps on the Notification pop-up list so it is easier to tell when a notification was created.

Version 4.6.03

A new report called "Degree Applications" displaying Degree/Graduation Application information is now available on the Convocation Menu.

A new SEM menu option has been added to the Admissions menu, and a new report called "Detailed Admissions Information" provides archived admissions information. This page can assist clients with building out reports and dashboard items to help with strategic enrollment goals.

   updated  Excel Exports have been improved by switching from the legacy .xls format to .xlsx format. They are now faster, allow for export of larger file size, and have improved scalability.
Version 4.6.02

updated The Class List report can now include Preferred Name by selecting this option in the Advanced Options page.

A new report called Courses Not Graded is now available in the Course Info area. This report will list courses with students who are registered but have not yet been graded.

A new report called Graduation Report is now available in the Degrees Granted area of the Convocation report options.

The Chat feature now allows users to hold Group chats and to name and save Group and User conversations.

Dashboards can now be exported into a PDF (Portable Document Format) or Excel file simply by clicking the appropriate icon next to the dashboard title.

Version 4.6.01

Multiple new columns containing diploma information have been added to the Degrees Granted report (diploma address, diploma sent date, etc.)

A degree code filter has been added to the General Student report. To locate this report and the new filter, go to Student Info --> General Info.

Several new filter options have been added to the Student Account Balance report so that you can include additional columns: Citizen, Email, SMS, Deceased, Confidential, Veteran, Level Code, Level Desc., Academic Year, College (code and desc), Program 1 (code and desc), Major 1 (code and desc), Feed Ind, Feed Document, and Feed Date. All of these columns are optional and available for selection via the Advanced Options tab.

updated When choosing report filters, selecting terms for this academic year and next academic year previously returned no results when no active current term existed. This has been changed so that it works even when no active current term exists.

updated In some instances, if a student did not have an active address record, email addresses and other student information was excluded on the degree report. This issue has been resolved.

A new column called "Course Long Text"  is available in both the Course Summary and Enrollment Summary reports and allows for inclusion of additional course comments or information on the Report Results.

updated There is now a Page Option (under the report level Administration tab) that allows users to hide the left-most "Row #" column if desired when running a report.

updated Dashboard Filters can now display in any order using drag and drop and are no longer only available for display in alphabetical order.

updated The email template now has options for users to clear messages, save templates, and load saved templates. See the Sending as Email file for additional information.

Version 4.6.00

updated Slight modification to the Pinned Reports Admin page where administrators can re-assign Pinned Reports to other groups and/or additional groups.

A new Active Course Catalogue report provides information on courses at the catalogue level. To locate this report go to Catalogue --> Active Course Catalogue.

updated The Links and News sections are now available on the Quick Launch tab in addition to the Application Info tab in all applications.
